Jim Sontag has over 30 years’ experience in the development of industrial and business computer applications across a range of industries including gas plant process control, municipal water treatment, seismic data acquisition, airline/hotel reservation systems, stock market trading and large scale electronic manufacturing.
He is capable and comfortable working with high level languages and frameworks used in web page, business or imaging applications down to the low level chip-level assembler programming needed for real time process control and data acquisition,
Jim has been involved in three start-up ventures that achieved significant commercial success with market valuations that exceeded $100 million.
In the past 15 years he has focused on internet applications that are secure, safe and user friendly. He is an advocate of the Agile methodology and Test Driven Design in software development but has the experience to recognize when process is without purpose.
Recently Jim has been doing some volunteer teaching in sub-Saharan Africa (Ghana) as part of a capacity building program. He teaches in the domain of IT and computer programming, leading a web development boot-camp in Kumasi.
